Ryoichi Kurokawa installation 2010. rheo: 5 horizons’ is an audiovisual installation which is composed of 5 flat-panel-displays and 5 multi-channel speakers. Each vertically long imagery pairs with each mono channel sound. And each video is synchronized with each audio. They are juxtaposed in line like a 5-member ensemble and behave as 5 independent audiovisual apparatuses.

Ryoichi Kurokawa installation 2008. When looking at the city, we might unconsciously direct our attention to the sense of smell rather than to the one of sight.
This multi-screen installation work is composed of the fragments of memory of the city as the ‘eye of the city’. The eyes taken on the world should peel off the surface of the city while the sense of smell should build up the new depth. In this work, the trace of memory and perception would reconstruct the city while concrete images are abstractly and poetically translated.
