The festival unites art, music, media and design in a relentless approach of contemporary culture. Cimatics focuses on audiovisual performances crossing borders; joining art, music and pop culture into one big audiovisual feast. At the AV Club, dj/vj-sets are intertwined with audiovisual concerts, performances and short screening of experimental videos. The festival aims to be a Happening.

The most significant alliance was teaming up with Greatshare, putting us one step closer to the development of the Cimatics online exchange platform. In spring we already have set up some concerts at Chapelle de Boondael with greatshare and XLCC, also present at this years festival. From there on we’ve been working together on the festival identity and communications and without them we wouldn’t have had Murcof, The Leaflabel, Intifada Offspring or Build…

The third edition of the Cimatics Festival in 2005. It focussed on ‘context’. Audiovisuals, as prominent expression of this age, are not only influenced by different contexts of production or reception.
