About Macro Cutter Off

Cutter_Off : vinyl's bruitist dissection. In anatomy, a dissection consist to open a body following a defined protocol. In geometry, a dissection problem constit in a figure cutting , in sort of replace pieces in a new order. Cutter_Off is an evolutive mix using surgical tools plugged into micro-contact. The cutting is made in live, starting on a blank vinyl, getting lost in the wear noise.The operation is filmed, mixed and projected in live, allowing the audience to associate tools to the sound .

Artkillart is a label based in Paris/Berlin, created in 2006. The label aims to promote experimental audiovisual and sound art. Artkillart invites artists to conceptualize, create and design an object, which explores the limitations of the support (dvd, cd and/or vinyle). Each object is designed following this reflection, as an experience for the artist and an experience for the audience. For the CIMATICS Festival in Brussels, Artkillart proposes a full lineup, composed with 5 performances in the field of real-time audiovisual and post-VJ live performances : chdh, laboiteblanche &Carl.Y (Audiotrace), RYBN (Monochrome), Vincent Epplay & Samon Takahashi, Yann Leguay & Jérôme Fino(Cutter Off).
