Visual music and the interplay of cutting-edge media. The screening is part of an exciting book on what is going on right now in the new media: from the experimental sector to the club scene.
The field of audiovisual creation is in constant expansion, with both artistic and commercial productions finding an increasing presence at festivals and concerts, in clubs, in art institutions, and even in theaters. A term often used in the context of audiovisuals is “visual music,” both as a historical reference and as a label for contemporary productions.

On Friday Nov 28 Cimatics presents the world-release of the VIDOS DVD. This release with videos to the music of ex-Funkstörung Michael Fakesch' album DOS will be part of the screening program and there will be a special dj/live concert by Michael Fakesch himself.
In collaboration with Transmediale festival Berlin we present a 'best of' of the screening programme as selected for Transmediale 2008. The selection presents work by Semiconductor, Xu Tan, Michelle Deignan and many others.
