performance
Alek et Les Japonaises, an electropical music duo
A Belgo-Japanese UFO to flakes full of french fries!
This project was born in 2008 after the collision between a bossa polyglot and a indo-chinese dance. Since then, Alek et Les Japonaises mix flashing beats, calculator-synths and Latin guitar to refresh and to color all audiences. Between tropicalism and dadaïsm, their texts and musics are deeply humorist and seriously childlike. They cultivate a particular taste for all genres, old and futuristic, and sing both in French and Japanese, in Portuguese and Dutch and others. Alek et Les Japonaises have been finalists of the contest Musique à la française 2008. They won the price of studio recording which they transformed into a short CD called 'Cuillere' (02-2009).
In 2009, Alek et Les Japonaises have become stage aficionados, and the public aficionado of Alek et Les Japonaises. They performed both in the North and the South of Belgium, in Japan (Tour July09) and France.

PolybiusBy Raquel Meyers & Goto8023:30 → 00:00

performance
The purpose of Polybius is to explore the relationship between fiction and reality by creating a feeling of losing your senses. The concept is derived from the myth about the 1980s arcade game Polybius which was said to create a sensory and cognitive deprivation. By combining line-vector aesthetics with video manipulation and 8-bit technology we want to induce feelings of apophenia, amnesia and panic.
We want to develop a new media identity dialogue by playing with human perceptions of incompatible symbolism and representations. The Polybius experience – Sinneslöschen (German for “sense deleting”).
long description:
part of the generation that grew up with videogames, we know the escapist feelings they can produce. It can result in procrastination; postponing actions because of anxiety. Agoraphobia is another so called disorder that connects to our project, as the fear of public and/or unfamiliar places can lead to difficulties in leaving “your safe place”. In Polybius w

Droon23:45 → 00:45

concert
One man squadron dropping splinter mashups
Droon is a one man squadron dropping splinter mashups on the unsuspecting masses. Out of his homemade flying V keytar shoots a bouquet of metal, trance and country richly drenched in absurd Gabber hardcore. He's got a helmet on for a reason, maybe you should bring your own.
Droon brings a very unique and recognizable liveact. His breakcore sets are fast, loud, funny and fully improvised with all samples triggered live from a ASCII-keyboard glued to a piece of plywood shaped like a Flying V guitar. Shards of gabber, jungle, metal and 90's eurotrance are let loose on postmodern youths worldwide. Unlike most laptop acts, who hide, crouched behind their bright screens, Droon straps on his fighter jet helmet and takes central stage like a 21st century rock god.
Droon as a liveact has toured the world since 2002. He played dozens of gigs in places like New York, LA, Sao Paolo, Osaka, Sydney, Moscow, Beijing, Bucharest, Berlin, Graz and all over Western Europe. And then there are the count
